A simple book on letters

This book looks at letter-writing, providing a very short history of letters and the mail. It provides some good advice on writing specific kinds of letters and some examples of letters from the past. While somewhat useful and entertaining, it is hardly a thorough guide for letter-writing. More of a trivia book.

Wonderful, Well-made, Darling

This book was a gift for my best friend who is an avid letter writer and collector. Not only is this book absolutely darling, but it houses a wealth of quirky quotes, beautiful letters, and helpful advice. Definitely an eclectic, fun gift or a great addition to your coffee table or book shelf! Also, a great conversation starter. Worth the price! Shipping was just a bit slow, but worth it as well.

This book represents letter writing through historical reference in a very nice way. The different historical figures that are mentioned made me want to read on and on. I hope she would write another book on letter writing.
