About the Author
Author and history enthusiast Kenneth Bertholf Jr. is among the fourth generation of his family to live in Blairstown. An active member of his community, he has served as trustee of the Catherine Dickson Hofman Library for 15 years, has been a member of the Blairstown Elementary School Board of Education for six years, and continues to write "The History of Blairstown" twice monthly for The Knowlton News. Bertholf brings a genuine love for the history of his hometown to life in Blairstown, a volume to be treasured by residents and visitors for years to come.

Pictures pictures pictures

This book provided an excellent visual history of the little town of Blairstown. It is jam packed with pictures from Churches to Blair Academy to railroads. The only thing that is keeping me from giving this book 5 stars is there needed to be more reading. The pictures are great; however, I would have also enjoyed reading about the town where I grew up.

Excellent resource

I live in Blairstown and love this book. Today I took my Brownie troop for a history walk from Footbridge Park through the village area. They had a blast comparing current day Main Street to that of the 1900's. Lots of neat trivia too. I know there is another book by the author with more text for history buffs.
