Fuego pertenece a la saga de Los Siete Reinos. Aunque fue publicado después de Graceling, en realidad se desarrolla 30 años antes. Debo admitir que no me llamaba la atención, ya que sabia que no compartía ni la historia, ni los personajes de Graceling. Sin embargo me empeñe en leerlo, y me sorprendió. Olvídense de los gracelings, la protagonista, Fire, es la ultima monstro-humana (en este reino hay monstruos con formas de animales y exóticos colores); y es una de las pocas protagonistas que me encantan; porque es fuerte, decidida e inteligente. Además, es independiente y toma sus propias decisiones.
El libro me encanto, le doy la máxima puntuación, en realidad, me gusto mucho mas que Graceling! La historia se desarrolla alrededor de Fire, en donde ella será la clave para derrotar a los enemigos del Rey Nash; pero también cuenta con la participación de un graceling que ya conocemos, Leck. Todos los personajes están perfectamente descritos, y cada una uno tiene una personalidad interesante. Aunque es un libro jovenil, el romance es un poco mas maduro y toca temas como el sexo sin caer en la descripción excesiva o en alguna escena incomoda. Pero no solo es romance, sino aventura, conspiraciones, traición…
Por cierto, no es necesario leer Graceling antes de este. En realidad recomiendo que si desean empezar a leer la saga, comiencen por Fuego.
