Good local interest book for reminiscing for the local folk

Probably more interesting to long time residents, which I am not. Was expecting more historical pictures of places and things in town and the area.. There is only a moderate amount of these. There is a lot of photos of people and groups of people only long time residents would know who mean nothing to someone who did not grow up here. Good local interest book for reminiscing for the local folk.

Buckeye, AZ

I have the first book that Verlene wrote about Buckeye, AZ and loved it and her second one Then and Now wasn't a disappointment either. I grew up in Buckeye, AZ so the book was very informative and brought back a lot of memories. It was also pretty cool that my mom and aunt had a picture in the first book and my dad and sister had a picture in Then and Now.

Good Book

The "Then and Now" books are cool to see how things looked back then compared to now and how things have changed and are a good source to find locations of buildings etc that no longer exist.
My grandfather was the first mayor of Buckeye and started the town bank in 1911. the bank is pictured on the front cover on the far right side. cool!
